As an Editorial Intern, you will work closely with our experienced editors and be an integral part of the Editing Department, gaining insight into our editorial process and the entire production pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Editing Department to gain knowledge about our editorial process and the entire production pipeline.
  • Work closely with editors to learn consistency, versatility, and speed throughout the editorial process.
  • Improve and challenge your editing knowledge using Avid Film Composer, working with mentors to review sequences and update reels.
  • Provide various levels of organizational, operational, and technical support to the production team.
  • Demonstrate a positive "can-do" attitude and maintain a high level of professional integrity while working independently and as part of a team.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess:

  • Advanced capabilities using Avid Film Composer (Final Cut Pro experience is a plus).
  • Excellent people skills with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A highly motivated and mature individual with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Availability to work full-time for 12 consecutive weeks (Monday, June 2, 2025 - Friday, August 22, 2025).
  • The legal right to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications and Eligibility

Pixar welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds and academic paths. Eligible candidates include:

  • Students who are at least juniors in college, working towards a degree or certificate in filmmaking with a focus on editing.
  • Recent graduates within the first year after graduation.
  • Individuals with non-traditional professional paths, including those in career transition, armed forces, or home-schooled backgrounds.
